About Birmingham Invitational Tournament
Slated for March 9th 2024, the Birmingham Invitational Tournament is going on its 16th consecutive year. It began as a tournament solely for martial arts schools that belonged to the same organization as the host school, Birmingham Academy of Martial Arts in Trussville Alabama. Today, it has expanded to include participants from all over the Southeast United States (Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee) with some individual competitors based as far as away as California.

Wood boards supplied by tournament only.

Pee Wee divisions may break 8mm paulownia "confidence" boards.

All other divisions will break 12" long pine boards that are 4", 6",
8", or 10" in width.

All boards are sourced through actual martial arts suppliers rather than local DIY stores to promote quality and uniformity.
