About The Tournament

Slated for March 8th 2025, the Birmingham Invitational Tournament is going on its 17th consecutive year. It began as a tournament solely for martial arts schools that belonged to the same organization as the host school, Birmingham Academy of Martial Arts in Trussville Alabama. Today, it has expanded to include participants from all over the Southeast United States (Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee) with some individual competitors based as far as away as California.

As with many open tournaments, grand champions are awarded in major forms divisions.

About The Location

Trussville is a suburb located just to the northeast of Birmingham, Alabama along Interstate 59. Founded in 1947, the city of Trussville is characterized by a friendly atmosphere, great schools and a safe environment. You can read more here.

The location offers a lot of convenience for travelers with 3 interstates merging in Birmingham and an international airport (all times approximate):

3 hours to Nashville TN
4 hours to Memphis TN
4 hours to Jackson MS
4 hours to Mobile AL

Crosspoint Church is located on the northern side of Trussville on a rolling wooded campus with ample parking. The gymnasium includes a walking track on an upper level.
